Magical Apple Land

Well, it is about time that I get my own laptop.  Considering I spend more hours than you can imagine on the computer, my mom is very happy that soon I won't be hogging the computer every night.  This post is about my adventures discovering the magical depths of mac-computerology.

I am one of those weird people that absolutely adores going to electronics stores like Best Buy and Apple.  I also love shoe shopping and book shopping.  Other than that, shopping is not really one of my favorite hobbies.  If you tell me that I am allowed to sit in a shoe shop or an electronics shop or a book shop while you scour the mall, I will be content.

So obviously I was very excited to go to the Apple store to check out the laptop I'm considering buying.  When I walked into the Apple store, I looked something like this:

I was glowing because I was radiating joy.  The entire store was exuding happiness and magic.  I felt like I had stepped into a fairyland full of rainbows, chocolate, puppies, and unicorns, with many sorcerer-employees who were asking me if I had any questions.

I know this is probably not the normal feeling that one feels when they walk into the Apple store, and I know that this is probably one of the first symptoms of clinical insanity or something, but I just LOVE BUYING ELECTRONICS.

There's something about the Apple store atmosphere, too, that contributes to this joyous feeling of mine.  There are SO MANY people in the store.  Everyone is either enjoying themselves, enjoying buying stuff, enjoying looking at stuff, or enjoying taking pictures of themselves and sending the pictures to themselves.  Also, there are about 632 people working there.  (That was a major exaggeration.)  Everyone working there looks happy, like they've just eaten a burrito full of goodness.  And then there are all of these incredible machines that look like they could outsmart me in every aspect of life.

Also, next to every product there is an Ipad.  YES.  The Ipad is used as a little booklet full of help.  I LOVE THE APPLE STORE.

So anyway, I think I was a little intoxicated with my love for Apple products, as well as perhaps confused by my magical hallucinations.  When I talked to one of the Apple sorcerer-employees, he seemed to not quite understand the joy that I was feeling.

Employee:  Hello. Do you have any questions about our products?

Me:  Yes.  I want to buy a laptop but I'm not sure if I should buy the unicorn one or the puppy one.

Employee:  Excuse me?

Me:  Well, they both look especially happy and magical, but I'm usually biased when it comes to unicorns.

Employee:  I'm not exactly sure....

Me:  I like the puppy, though, because puppies are the cutest things on the face of the planet and they are really fluffy.

Employee:  Are you...?

Me:  So, anyway, which one, the puppy or the unicorn, do students usually buy?

Yeah. That didn't go very well.  I am planning on buying my laptop soon, though, (I chose the unicorn, but you knew that, didn't you?), and I am really excited to start blogging using my new computer!! I wonder if anything will change.  I don't know!  But I am so freaking excited.

THE END.

P.S.  This was by no means supposed to be an advertisement for Apple, but if you want to take it that way, then I guess I should say: you're welcome, Apple.

P.P.S.  The magical facade fell away once I realized that buying a laptop would cost my entire life savings.  Also, I might not be able to buy it until fall just in case they give away free itouches.  What a bummer.

  1. if you simply take out the word "Apple" and put in the word "Target", you just described my vision of heaven. Ahhhhhhhhhhh. And Brad Pitt might be there. Or Judd Nelson (not Judd Nelson NOW, silly, Judd Nelson when he looked like he did in Breakfast Club. Ahhhhhhh).

    best,
